Self-advocacy is about more than feeling like you’re doing just enough. It’s about finding the best way to thrive with your limits.
I’ve been a self-advocate my whole life. In more recent years, I have learned the importance of advocacy and inclusion as an adult living with disability. Both play a role in creating spaces for belonging. When advocacy and inclusion intersect, thriving happens. My passion is to share my experience and encourage communities to see beyond disability in order to see the person. Everyone needs a place to belong and thrive. I have a heart for helping you to break down barriers and build bridges to a more inclusive community. Whether in the church setting, a small group, or a conference workshop, I can speak on the following:
- Disability Barriers
- Thriving with Limits
I’m also available to recite poems from my book, Beyond. Please contact me and download the full summary of Speaking Topics for more details.
